Oh, boy. I know I'm opening a can of worms on this one...

I need to get vocals to another level. I currently have no pitch correction capabilities. I'm running Cubase le4 - soon to upgrade to 5 which I know has a pitch corrector in it.

Can anyone "hear" AutoTune in today's popular music? Side question, does it piss you off like it does me?

Ive been recording my own stuff at home for a few years now and I'm just starting to get a bit more serious with it. I use Adobe Audition 3.0 and I have just began using the Antares Auto Tune 4 plug in. My question is, is this an effect i should apply pre recording or can it be applied post very well?

I recently purchased the AVP-1 made by Antares.

I'm having a lot of trouble using it with my mixing board. Sometimes the sound quality is nice, sometimes it's insane.

I just tried the free plugin download off of the Antares website.

The plugin is great! I had no problems whatsoever.

I am looking at mixing a project and the choir is flat for most of the song. I believe the choir was tracked live infront of four mics. I have asked if we can hire pro singers for the song but I don't think this is in their budget. I didn't track the Choir but I was asked to tune them. I am affraid that their will be bleed on the mics between registers and I might not be able to tune it.

you mentioned in a reply that Pitch correction can get the cher effect, but that it would need some extreme settings. Do you know what settings would be best

I am interested in purchasing a pitch correction device for my Pro Tools system.
I have used the demo versions of both programs and like them both quite a bit.
I would like to know other people's opinions on the two programs and which one would be the best buy.

I have heard that there is equiptment out there that you can plug your mics into and will adjust the voice when off key and correct it...if so, do you know what they are called, prices, and where to find them? thanks

Hey guys been a while but i'm trying to get back on track with my music..

So here's a question.

I need something to help with some minor pitching that may occur and to get a cleaner tone in the singing.

Some pitch correction never hurts a track i guess :)
