I'm working on a video game at the moment with 1500+ WAV files which represent all the bits of speech in our game. The problem is that they're not all consistent in average RMS output, varying anywhere from 3-9dB depending on which recording session they came from.

I need a batch program that can batch from an EDL list or OMFI.

Q1.I have an EDL/OMFI and Tascam DA-88. I need to batch the sound from the DA-88 into my computer using the Omfi file or the edl list, and save it as an OMFI file.

Q2.I have heard that you can get a converter that converts the serial port to a 9 pin remote. It is called Rosetta Stone. Do you know of any others?

Well, looks like the Digi96 Hammerfall line isn't for me since it's optical interface only and would severely limit my choices of power amps thus I'm getting the RME Digi96/8 PST which has a 1/4" TRS input and a 1/4" TRS output. When researching about this card, I stumbled upon this link:
