Hi all, It's been quite a while. I've been messing around with a few things and have stayed ITB ...even using all VSTI for drums, guitar, and bass. I picked up the Weiss Complete plugin package, and it has turned around my beliefs on mastering needing to be done all OTB. So far I'm not looking back either.
Hi everyone! I'm a musician hoping to put together a YouTube / stream setup hopefully soon to get some income due to COVID. Problem is, I'm new at mixing & mastering so I really need help in this area.
Been working with the built in Studio Strings and oboe for an arrangement of Gabriel's Oboe (from the motion picture The Mission).
I've got it the best I can, so now I need brutal critique from anyone who knows more about mixing and orchestral arrangements than me (so, almost anyone).

I recently finished an album of all-acoustic guitar songs. Kinda jazzy, folky, mellow easy listening. I recorded this particular tune with 2 condenser mics focused in an X-Y configuration near 12th fret. The mics were 2 AKG P170's. The mics were both run into 2 separate tube preamps then into a KORG D888 digital 8 track machine. I recorded the rhythm track first then the lead track next.
I would really appreciate some constructive criticism on these mixes please! Thanks :)
