CAD M177 Microphone?
Can anyone give me some input for this mic? I use it for a vocal mic but I cannot compare to others since its my first mic. I put it through an ART tube and I cant get a good sound from it, but I'm not sure if it is the tube or the mic. If anyone has this microhpone or have used it, feel free to respond.
I am strictly using it for acoustic guitar and vocals.

Fake CAD microphones?
I recently came across a seemingly great deal at musiciansfriend on a pair of "CAD" CTM-1000A capsule condenser mics for $99. The list price for the pair is $600, and the mics actual street price is $150 a piece. The deal seemed to good to be true, so I checked the CAD website but didn't find any mic with the model number CTM-1000A.

Drum mics: CAD or Samson
I need to buy a set of drum mics and my budget is not even enough to buy one REAL mic. My kit is pretty big (2 snare, 4 tom, 1 BD, and 7 cymbals) and I want the sound of close Micing the toms so that rules out the 2 overheads and a bass mic method. Its between the CAD pro-7 pack and the Samson 7 or 8 kit. They both have good reviews considering thier price. Does anyone have any insight?

CAD GXL2200/2400 & Nady SCM800 (Newbie ?'s)
This is my first post ever (Aloha from HI) and this will also be my first condenser mic purchase ever. I am on a strict budget and am trying to do as much research as possible on my 6 day a week work schedule.
I saw these two mics all over EBAY:

Cad M9 vs. . PPA 2ube ($300 tube mics)
I am looking at getting another affordable tube mic, I have the MXL v77... it's been making a lot of noise as of late. Anyhow, i figure there is something else out there i would like better, something with a little more color would be nice.

Replacing CAD Tube with GT or NOS
Again I can't find the referring topic, but I read on here that a user replaced the tube in his CAD mic with a nice Groove Tubes tube, and that he was saving up for a Telefunken NOS.
Is this wise? Is it worth it? I have a CAD VSM-1, and I like it a lot, but if replacing the stock tube means that I have a vastly improved mic, I'll spend $50-75 to do it.

Budget Shockmounts (CAD & Samson) - The Answer
I have found a good use for my Oktava binder-clip shock mounts - I've made some ho-made bits that lets me used them for a variety of different setups with SD mics. Not wanting to limit my selection of microphones for lack of adequate shock mounts, I'm looking for replacements for the Oktava MK-319 mics.
cad M9
the cad M9 is a cheap tube mic and i wondering if anyone has used one or knows anything about it.

Cad kick mic close to AKG or Shure?
I have a friend who own the 7 piece mic kit.
He's not any other drummer, he took part at the Montreal DrumFest 2004
He said he likes the Shures or AKG but CAD are good ones 2.
did you ever tried one?
the price range vs quality seems good to me 45$ not 199.99$ as Shure or AKG.
I own a 421 i just love it.
what you think about all this?
