Can this thing be corrected in Vocals?
I know a lot of singers owe their success to compressors, and limiters etc
I sing in a way that every word I sing appears to be coming 'suddenly', suddenly rise, forceful

Mic Help!
My band and I have just purchased Pro Tools 8 and the Digidesign 003 interface to record our own album. Now it's time to buy a good vocal mic. My budget max is about $1200. Everyone I have talked to says the best way to choose a vocal mic is to try them all. My vocals are comparable to Shine Down, Candlebox, Chris Cornell. Any suggestions on some brands and mics to try?

condensor mic for rock vocals under 1k?
I want to get a condensor mic forunder $1000. The main reason I want to get it is to record rock vocals. And by rock vocals I mean anything from Gregg Allman, to Robert Plant, to Chris Cornell type vocals. I have not been able to capture the essence of the vocals with anything that I have tried so far.

Trying to achieve that up front Chris cornell vocal.
I use a Blueberry mic into a RNC and Great River preamp. He vocals sound very up front and warm yet clear. On his new album or Audioslave mid temp stuff where you can really hear his vocals it sounds like verb is there but can't figure out what type. My voice is similar before someone brings that up ha! EQ tips, verb whatever.
Vocal Equipment for Live/Studio use. Need Suggestions!
I am a singer/producer/musician with A PT home studio. My band has almost finished an album and we are preparing to play it live. I am extremely uptight about vocal sound quality and I am looking for some suggestions for vocal equipment for live use. Of course, I will also use this equipment in the studio.
