Classical guitar Recording questions
A friend of mine is going to let me record my classical guitar in a special place at his house. He created a CMU masonry block castle 40’ tall. The castle at the bottom is 8’ diameter. He cut a door into the bottom and you can go into the belly of the castle.

Recording classical guitar in mono?
I'm getting ready to record a classical guitarist in my studio. There will be no other instruments; only his guitar. I'm thinking I may record him in mono, and just wondered what you more experienced folks think about that... I've got three decent mics: two AKG C1000s and a RODE NT1-A.

recording classical guitars
hey all!
I will be recording a classical guitar trio and I need your guys' input and help. I want this to sound great for them so i'm trying to do my research now. While i was studying recording i spent most time on recording popular music rather than classical, which is why i need help. I need help in choosing Mics and placement.

Lynx Aurora and Classical Guitar
Well, I did it - I took the plunge. My Aurora 8 arrived Friday and I'm itching to use it.
I have a classical guitarist coming by to work on an existing project this next weekend. I've requested that he bring his instrument and I'll see what we can track and use for demos. (Though, it will be in my home and the acoustics will be a tad limited.)

Need to record classical guitar CD, have $300. What to buy?
Advanced player here with a newly purchased guitar from mangore.com
I need to make a CD by the end of the year, mostly classical recordings.
My sound card is sh*t, my $20 labtec mic just broke, and all I have is a MZ-R90 Sony MiniDisc player.
I have about $300 to spend.
