anyone know about the Studio Project C4 condensers?
anyone know much about these mics? Im looking for a good quality pair of instrument condenser for recording acoustic guitar, percussions, and possibly other stringed instruments. They seem like a great deal for a pair at $350

Cheap vocal condensers.. are they worth it?
I think most everyone knows of these cheap budget vocal condensers
MXL 990, Studio Project B1, Audio-Technica AT2020
These are all no more than $120. Ive read so much like "these mics sounds just as good as mics that have cost several hundred dollars."

LD Tube Condensers for OH...on a budget
I've always preferred recordings that have used LD Tube Condensers for drum overheads...whether it be U67's or C12's...expensive taste I know, it's a flaw.
I know it's always an outrageous thing to do in any aspect of life to say 'give me this mic's sound for $x.xx'.

general purpose condenser pair?
Hey guys, it's time to buy the initial start-up mics for our studio, I have everything picked out, but I'm having trouble deciding on some general purpose condensers, for drum overheads, room micing, acoustic guitars, etc... I'm leaning towards the R0DE NT1-A, but I don't see a way to order a matched pair?

Condenser Microphone in Open Area.
I recently purchased a Mxl 909 Condenser microphone and I'm gonna be running it through a Samson C-Valve Tube Preamp. But I am gonna be doing my recording in my room, I live in a second story apartment building in an area thats not too busy but not really quiet. at times I can clearly hear children outside playing, and music from adjacent apartments and car stereos outside.

In-line Condenser Mic High Pass filter
Hello,
I was wondering if anyone out there can help regarding adding a passive high pass filter circuit between my condenser mics and mobile pre-amp.
This setup is for collecting samples in the field - a pair of RODE NT5's, with a M-Audio MobilePre USB preamp supplying the phantom power. At this stage, I don't want to replace these (lack of funds).

Why won't my mic preamp work on my condenser mic ?
I have an MXL990 mic and I run it through the same stereo microphone preamp that works for my stereo Sony electet mic. Is it because my mic is mono and I need to get the right fittings to go into my stetro preamp ? ...or is it because of my preamp specs ? It was made by a guy that builds them and sells them on eBay: Church Audio ST-20. Here are the specs for the 9-volt driven preamp:
Budget condenser mic under $200?
Looking at the ADK's, the AKG Perception series, Studio Projects B1, and the Joemeek JM37-DP.
Any other ideas? I'm recording vocals only and at some upper ranges so I suppose I need a "brighter" sounding mic right?
I got the MXL57 right now and it sucks ass.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Jason

Which condenser Mic ?
hey folks,
looking to record some acoustic guitar on a Korg D8 eight track at home, I understand I need a condenser mic rather than a dynamic mic as used for vocals. Can anyone recommend a budget type mic in the region of $250 which is ok ?
cheers

Condenser Mic
I just bought a firepod and I already have an sm57, 58 and a few other random mics for recording. I'm looking into getting a cheap (100-200) condenser mic to add to my setup. For what I'm recording now I dont need a fancy setup, just recording guitars, vocals and cello. Does anyone have any suggestions for descent mics in this range?
