With all my data being scattered around between phones and hard drives and aging formats, I've decided to consolidate all my data in form a more professional way to back up my documents and data.
My two concerns are accessibility and future compatibility, as well as scalability.

Im having a few problems recording after I changed my set up at home.
I used to use a Yamaha audiogram3 as an interface to record audio from my Yamaha PSR-175 keyboard and a microphone which I can no longer remember the make of, into Cubase Ai4. This worked fine and was great for recording guitar etc...
I want to transmit midi clock data to my SR16 drum machine so that when i hit record on the transport control and get a 2 bar count in my drum machine
kicks in on time after the 2 bar count so i can record it.
I can do this in Pro Tools easy, but am really struggling for some reason in reason essentials.
Please help!
I'm trying to run my Roland synth through Ableton live 8 for recording. At this point I've gotten it to record midi, but I don't get any sound. I can record it in audio mode just fine, but for midi it just lays down the track visually and but gives no sound.
Basically I want to know if there's a way to write info to digital format music files. I want to put in the artist/song/isrc code/album art and possibly even lyrics. I've heard talk of this but am actually to where I want to do it now so any insight would be much appreciated.

So I have had multiple Cubase crashing problems. I decided to just go on an reformat the brand new computer and start over with a clean slate. So I did.
I am trying to move the data from an Alesis HD-24 to my computer so I can upload them into Protools. I am using the Alesis Fireport adapter to move the data to my computer, however I am having problems getting my computer to recognize the hard drive from the HD 24. My computer uses Windows Vista and will not recognize the adapter.
