Yamaha aw 2816 does not save mixer data...
...yep, that's it, basically.
If I save a song, the mixer data which was valid at the time of saving will not be restored. Only the tracks are loaded, and patching, effect inserts, fader positions remain the same as before.
What's the problem? I don't know...
Thanks for you help, guys.
Hannes

Roland VS 2480 / Digital Performer sharing/ exchanging data?
Hi, I have been using Digital Performer with my Mac, Mackie Mixer, an 896 and a MOTU Express XT. I'm real happy with the setup. Someone just gave me a brand new Roland VS 2480 CD and I wondered if this can be incorporated in my setup, somehow? Does the Roland VS 2480 only record audio or does it record MIDI, as well?
accessing data on SCSI drives
not sure which of the two digital forums is more appropriate for this.
For PC users, what is the best method of accessing data from the removable SCSI drives (in Kingston carriers) that are still common on hard disk recorders?
Is there a table top SCSI box connects to most PCs that allows you to pop in a SCSI drive/carrier?
thanks.

Making a Microphone Database
Hey guys,
New to this forum. I have been researching mics for a while now, and it is difficult to get a wealth of information from one source. I want to create a multi-relationship database for microphone information that will assist members in choosing mics for certain things.

Send data CD-R or 1/4" to be mastered?
I'm recording on Protools, then putting my final mix onto 1/4" tape.
Assuming the Mastering House has both computer editing and 2-trk tape machine, should I take them a 1/4" tape or a CD with the stereo files on it and have them dump it to tape (cuz they might have a 1/2")?
Just wondering what you guys might think.

Gathering Data on a label
Hey guys, first time reader, first time poster. A few students and myself are entering into a small business competition here in Buffalo with a propsal for a record company. We're all huge music fans and are really excited about it. We're right now in the data collection process, just trying to learn everything we can. Does anyone have any ideas, leads, or advice?
