How big is the diaphragm of AT2035 Cardioid Condenser?
AT2035 Cardioid Condenser Microphone
I can't find the size anywhere on the net.
In a previous topic, someone mentioned that the AT2020 has only a 1/2inch. This mic seems to be the same thing, but with a pad and rolloff. I am guessing it has the same size diaphragm, but I don't know.
Is having the roll-off and pad worth an additional $50?
Any help?
Large Diaphragm condenser for choirs/orch/etc.
Hello...
Well... I'd like a few suggestions on Large Diaphragm condensers. Basically, I need something to record choirs and orchestras, and possibly concert bands with. Also, as a Mid mic for M/S recording. I was only hoping to spend $100 - $200... but it looks like I would have to spend a minimum of $600 to get a quality mic! However, I've been looking at the following:
Positioning a large diaphragm condenser
Hi, I am working with a RODE NT1 with the SM1 shockmount. I am having trouble angling the mic into the proper position using a boom stand. I don't have the option of setting up the mic close to the performer, so I have the boom extended. I am wondering if anyone has any suggestions. The SM1 only pivots just a little bit and that's what is making it so difficult to work with.

Large or small Diaphragm ?
I have (in my short life as a recording enthusiast) always used a pair of c1000,s as overheads but I have primarily used them to mic up the cymbals (rolling off everything below 500hz).
I am now trying to progress and to purchase 2 mics that I can use as true overheads. I want two mics that will give a good sound of the whole kit so that all I need to add is a kick and snare mic.

First Large Diaphragm Condensor
i just got a delta 1010 system for christmas (been using a 788 portapotty way too long), i have a set of matched pair SP condensers, Shure drum kit mics, and some spare 58/57s around, but i've still got some left over christmas money to burn on a nice microphone. i figured a large diaphragm was probably a good choice for my next mic.

Overheads: Large or Small Diaphragm?
At the moment it's sort of irrelevant for me, as I currently have only small diaphragm condensers at my disposal (and one large, which I tend to use as a vocal mic,) but in general, which do people prefer?

Audio-Technica large diaphragm condenser mics
Ok, before I launch into my question, I want to let you guys know that I did read the AT4033 vs AT4040 thread, and tried to find as much info that was already posted before starting a new thread... I don't want to waste time re-debating, but I have a specific question.
recording a valve amp with a large-diaphragm conderser
Can anyone tell me his/her opinion about recording a guitar (valve) amp with large-diaphragm condenser. I'll surely believe there have been a few topics about this, but i'm to lazy to find out. So! If someone want to tell me about his/her expierences! thank you!
