Recently I mixed a couple of tracks and even started casual listening by keeping the main ST fader on my digital mixer (Yamaha n12) at -6 db instead of 0 db, and observed that its much more enjoyable.

I know Behringer had a bad rap, but the XR18 has exactly the features that I'm looking for (it's essentially a digital snake that you can put on the floor in the middle of the stage, and mix if from an iPad anywhere in the house using the built-in Wifi).

I have a dilemma which is causing me sleepless nights! My DAW software is Sonar Producer 8.5 and I'm treating myself to some new hardware. Up to now I'm using a Cakewalk UA-25EX and control everything with my mouse.
I was looking for a compact mixer (below 16x16 inches) and someone pointed me to try looking into Digital mixers specifically the PreSonus 16.0.2. That thing looks amazing on paper! It has almost everything that I want (EQ/compressor/Effects/Gate/Limiter/etc).
New mixer announcement from A+H: the Qu-16. This looks as if it's their answer to the PreSonus SL series, and it seems to have some advantages: 16 buses, motorized faders, recallable gains on the preamps , direct multi-track recording to USB memory stick or USB hard drive, dSnake and ME Personal Mixing compatibility.
I haven't seen any pricing information as yet.

hey what are some good mixers that can work with pro tools
that are not digidesign, and can be set up to where each drum like bass, snare, and toms are on each individual track.
I'm looking for a digital mixer to use with garage band or logic studio. It would have to be USB because apple decided that the new macbook users weren't good enough for firewire. Im having a hard time finding a USB mixer that would work with garage band. And It would need to be under $300. Please Help! Thank you!
8) I recently bought a used TMD4000 and I need the ISA RS422 card and 9-pin cable to link to my PC.
preferably firewire, i need to save on as much space as possible, anything 12 channel or above. budget: £500-600
