Does anybody have experience with XTA DP202 digital equalizer?

I own a ULTRAGRAPH PRO FBQ3102 (http://www.Behringer.com/FBQ3102/index.cfm?lang=ENG)

I am helping to setup a religious studio. The type of music (Classical) will consist of high & low vocal, high & low piano and a type of hand drum (high & low[bass]) called the tabla.

I just bought a matched pair of DPA 4006-TLs with the acoustic pressure equalizers and grids (thanks to Mike at Vintage King Audio). My initial intention is to record a hand-made German 7'2" grand piano in a small live room. I just received the set and havn't started experimenting (will start this weekend).

is Q on a parametric equalizer octave dependant, or frequency dependant?

Q = center frequency / bandwidth

ex Q=.4 @1000
would the bandwidth be 800-1200
(this would be frequency dependant)

or would the bandwidth be
aprox 850-1250 octave dependant (since the octave logarithmic. )

OK! I know are a million answers to this question and the right one is "listen to what your ears tell you". So I guess I am just trying to reassure my ears they are right!

Recently, my boss discovered an Orban/Parasound 621b Parametric EQ in storage that slipped through the cracks in bookeeping (we didn't know we had it, and there was no record that we did other than the unit itself).

We'd like to check it out and see how it sounds, except we can't locate a power supply anywhere.
