I often see drummers wearing some sort of earbuds for live performances. I'm looking to use earbuds for monitoring my digital piano (just for live jams where there is no amp monitor).

Should I be OK with something like the Shure SE215-Dynamic-Microdriver-Earphones?

I'm shooting some music instructional videos in a residential home basement. Due to problems with mic bleed, I've convinced the subject to wear headphones for listening to himself, and his assistant musician during the shoot as opposed to speakers.

I thought this would be a good topic to throw open for discussion.

I recently mixed a song through the monitors, A/B'ing them with a second set of monitors and even checked them on a high quality set of monitor headphones.

I currently own the Sony MDR-EX700LP earphones but I was wondering since they are top of the line from Sony can I use these for studio use? I thought that since these are high end earbuds that they will play exactly how the music is recorded. They normaly cost $300 but I got them for $200 on Amazon.com

I always feel spoiled listening to music through my AKG or Sennheiser studio headphones, when compared to my earbuds. I'm just wondering if there are any great ear buds out there, that can compete with these headphones?
