Need some mixing advice for Electronic Project

I am trying to finish my own personal electronic "Dance?" album. I have sampled most most all of the Kicks, snares, hats etc. to make up the percussion section off of vinyl and CDs. Some of this music is pseudo Hip-Hop, House and other forms of electrinica. I am using Pro-Tools Digi 001 with a Manley, Avalon pre and the full Waves plugin package.

Any mixing suggestions for Electronic Muisc?

Electronic drums

I am new at the biz of sound person, (about three years) Maybe some of you more seasoned pros could help a gal out. My drummer is solid and a good player and everything has been great til' he bought electronic drums. I can't seem to get the sound right. He adjusts I adjust but I just can't seem to get it right where I want it. When I get the kick bumbing the damn snare tears my head off.

Mastering electronic music

I have had some people ask me to master synth or midi generated music. When I do it for music that has real instruments or the human voice I intuitively know that I'm making it sound better. Electronic music however leaves me confused. Other than removing hiss noise, I don't naturally know what kind of feeling the music's creator is shooting for or what adjustments will make it sound better.

Lexicon MPX-500 vs. . TC Electronic M-One (XL)...which one

Hello.

I am looking to get a rack reverb/effects unit to go with my DIGI001. I would like a 24 bit processor
with SPDIF connection. I am currently looking at the MPX-500 and the M-ONE.

Does anyone have any opinions about these units and what recommendations you would have?

Thanks in advance,
Michael
