I need patchmix dsp help (because I think that's where I have to fix the problem from), everytime music comes in, I hear a lot of static and I seriously dont know what to do anymore, what do I have to set? is there a particular setting I must use/do/have? someone please help a fellow canadian out (lol).

just purchased the emu 0404 and as a newbie, i have a few questions i hope someone can help answer.

how do i hook up studio monitors to the soundcard? do i have to buy a mixer or can i just plug them into the card directly?

I have just bought an E-MU 0404 card and installed it on my computer. There seem to be a few problems however which (I am guessing) are software related.

I read some of your advice & found it very helpful.

I just got a dell 8400 loaded. I got the non intigrated soundblaster card for output only.

I bought the emu for all recording. They are having problems and I am very frustrated. Can I pull the sound balster & use the emu alone for everything. I have the 5.1 sound speakers as well.

915 or 925 chipset with EMU 1820? Anyone tried this configuration? I'm building a new system and want to take advantage of PCI express. I had some issues with the 845G chipset/EMU(painfully resolved...) and I'm looking to upgrade. I'm mostly running XP with Nuendo2. Any one have any experience with this combo? I'm using a Behringer ADA8000 to an E-Mu 1212M on the PC.. what kind of processor performance will this need? Is it going to do the processing on the ADA8000 or am i gonna need a monster computer to run this nicely?
