I'm working as a runner for a post-production sound company and starting to do some dialogue editing. I struggle a lot with ADR spotting and want to learn more about how sound works and be able to identify problems with audio recordings and the extent to which these problems can be resolved with Pro Tools other than just rerecording.

Hello everyone, my name is Noah and I am new to this forum! I have been doing music for over a decade now and have just started my home recording studio. I am currently running Logic Pro 9 using reason in rewire for certain synth sounds and sometimes using redrum vs hyper editing in logic.

I've been toying with the idea of taking some classes in recording engineering, maybe even pursuing some kind of degree. Does anyone in the forum have any suggestions about schools, etc? It'd have to be something I can do from home since I work full-time.

Hi. I'm in my second year of college and I'm taking an Audio engineering class and a Career Exploration class. One assignment for the Career class is to do a informational interview with someone who is in a potential career we're interested in. Hey gang, I've recently switched from working on electronic stuff to working on more organic material. For most of these tracks I'm looking to dial up a sound that's similar to early Motown, Phil Specter's "Wall Of Sound" and what-not.

Hey guys. I am new to the forum here, so I hope I am posting this in the right place.

I am currently working on building a small studio for both audio and video productions. I started off with tinker toy type programs on my PC like Pinnacle, and have made my way up. I have no pro training, just what I have been asking on forums and reading in books.

I am in the on-stage engineer for my band and all our live instruments go through an fully automated submixer linked into Abelton Live where they have been optimally mixed for each song.
