Any recommendations? Which engineer?

i'm producing some music and we release records (12").
Our music is mainly digital.

I'd like to have some information about what is the most
accurate way to finalize my tracks in the studio before to
give the pre-master to the engineer.

Yup you heard me, I'm going nuts. I've been trying to conquer drum sounds for years, and every time I get a new opportunity, I just can't seem to get the sounds in my head. And it keeps me up at night thinking about it. Sure some better equipment would help, but I just had a thought.. what if the SOUNDS I was going for individually are "wrong"?

For those who do not know what is Fibromialgy, it is an intense muscle/nerve pain due to stress, few sleeping hours, anxiety and so. It is awful, hurts a lot and does not have a proper cure for it.
It is similar to tendinitis and pain in the back.

I find it amazing that there are far more studio owners than there are freelance recording engineers and producers. When I tell people that I am an audio engineer, the first question I am asked is "Where is your studio?". I think that this is the real problem in the studio business today. It is driven by the dream of owning a studio, not by the market for studio time.
