This is where our fake world is headed. By 2030 90% of social media content will be created by fake users. the other 10% might be a real person.  I suspect it won't take that long either.

This link (amongst many others I get) was just sent to me: https://www.jasper… This link was particularly interesting which is about to put me over the deep end.

Not all of us have a big drum room but still wants to record real drums. This little tip will help simulate a room mic being far away in a big room... It works if you record with 1 or 2 room mic. Let me know how it works for you when you test it or if it's already this way that you do it !

Fake CAD microphones?

I recently came across a seemingly great deal at musiciansfriend on a pair of "CAD" CTM-1000A capsule condenser mics for $99. The list price for the pair is $600, and the mics actual street price is $150 a piece. The deal seemed to good to be true, so I checked the CAD website but didn't find any mic with the model number CTM-1000A.

Making "fake" drums sound more "real"?

So I am using Sonar 3 PE. I recorded some tracks with midi drums. I then used my Casio keyboards drum sounds and just triggered them with Sonar. I used the 1/4" stereo out (headphone) out of the keyboard and ran that through my tube pre-amp into my Layla24. They sound ok, but definitely not what I am looking for.

Starved Plate? Fake Tubes? *is confused*

I have heard tube pre's described as "starved plate" or "fake tubes" at times... is starving a plate or whatever inside a pre a way to get tube emulation? and if it is a starved plate design will it actually advertise as real tube technology? is this something I need to be cautious of? even if it isn't, I'm still curious, please clear the fog for me

thanks in advance
