what is your favourite UA product to date?

I've never used UA preamps , but always wonder how they measure up with other UA stuff?

If I was to choose my top UA pick, I suppose I would still pick an LA-2A because its my essential for tracking vocals.

I mostly record and mix, but in a small budget projects I sometimes do the mastering also. For now I've been using only plugins for that application, but I'm planning to get outboard eq and maybe a great compressor for mastering purposes.

So, all you masteringmasters, what eq and comp should I get?

FYI, almost all my projects are in rock/pop -genre.

I saved up some money but I still don't have enough to get a relly cool guitar,but I thought I could get a cheaper guitar and put a cool Pick Up,a passive one,on it. I don't want an active coz the guitars for passive ones don't have battery holes and woteva anyway,passive ones also rock...

Hey all, I'm a bit curious. Which compressors (or other devices) are your favourites when it comes to totally smash drums etc and make them pump relly heavily and take a last breath of life :) Yeah, I'm talking compression as an effect, but not all of them sound cool used that way. I've found a few cool ones but I'm still looking for that ultimate sound-destruction-unit. Any favourites ?
