I am familiar with both of these types of sounds, but I do not really understand what a Phazer is. I know a Flanger mimics tape flangeing. How can one explain what a Phazer is, and how it scientifically is different from a Flanger. Thanks in advance!

Those who know this stompbox know what I'm looking for -- a smooth thick flange sound like a jet aircraft taking off. Popularized by Pink Floyd, Hawkwind, etc.

Is there any plugin even remotely capable of this sound?
