Fostex MR-16, can I slow down my tracks?

Just started using my Fostex MR-16 in my home studio. Will be doing demos for original songs, but also want to slow down tracks to figure out fast licks from recordings. No direct instructions on this function in the manual, and having trouble getting tech support from Fostex... Any ideas? Appreciate any input for a new user...

getting started with a fostex VR-800 need help

hi, i baught a vr-800 on ebay $120 i havnt paid for it yet, but he sais it needs a harddrive, is that gonna cost me much? also i was hoping to use an analog mixer with it, i see some decent old mixers on ebay cheap enough, is there a way i can use an anolog mixer with the digital recorder?
I'm completely fresh to this sort of thing, so i got idea what I'm doing really,

I cant seem to adjust levels. Fostex MR16

Hi,
I have played in tracks 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9/10.

I bounced them to 15/16.

When I listen to 15/16 it sounds fine, but on the CD I make I can barely hear tracks 4 and 6 (the piano and bass). I even turned them up extra loud, but they won't come through loudly.

Is there something I'm not doing?

I have the MR-16.

Tascam HD-P2, Fostex FR-2 or Korg MR-1000?

Hi guys,
I'm in the market for a good digital stereo recorder in the 1500€ range.
I plan to record mainly solo classical grand piano in live environment (Auditoriums, Theatres, Churchs ecc.).
I'll use it with a matched Schoeps CMC5 MK21 pair.
I'm considering Tascam HD-P2, Fostex FR-2 and Korg MR-1000.
