Hey I'm looking to pull the trigger on some conversion for my living room setup. A couple high quality channels fits the needs, and around 1k is the most I'm looking to put into this one. I'm basically gonna track ideas via an eleven rack, and archive all my old stuff with this setup getting it ready for the new custom computer and 384k+ capable conversion.

I have to confess that I am so ignorant of this stuff that I am likely asking the all time dumbest question ever... but here goes. I have a pair of monitor headphones (Sony) and shoot and record video. I'm upping my game a bit and wonder how best to monitor the sound recorded once it's in the computer so it's not colored by base boosting etc.

call me dumb...

I called MOTU tech support and they said to disable my internal sound card (which i thought I already did) but they didn't say how. I have a AThlon 2600 PC running windows XP Home Edition. Can someone help me out? Thanks
