Pro Tools M-Powered Question on Interfaces
I have a new m-audio profire and I use pro tools M-powered, and i was wondering if I can hook up a MOTU 24 I/O into the second firewire through slot and still be able to run pro tools without have to select the device.
Thanks

Mid-priced preamps vs. included ones on interfaces/mixers?
I have a Line6 Toneport UX2 and a Behringer Xenyx 1622FX, and I've been thinking about adding a hardware preamp like a Grace Design Model 101 or a Universal Audio Solo/610/110, or even a channel strip like a PreSonus Eureka or dbx 376.
USB Audio Interfaces, Help!
I'm currently looking to upgrade my digital multi-track recorder to computer based recording for ease of recording, mixing etc.
I have a laptop (PC) with decent spec. and was probably looking at a M-Audio FW410 for just under 200 quid.

Im probably asking a retarded question but please just humor me anyways.
I may understand quite a bit about sound and all that but setting up gear is a mystery to me. My curiousity has come up with this question:

professional audio interfaces vs. . onboard interfaces
hello
i currently have an ordinary Onboard audio interface with 6 channels (5.1).
i am planning to buy a m-audio fast track pro because this is what i can afford buying now learning.
but i have an doubt about the set of interfaces i should have.
IO audio interfaces and mixing consoles.
I was thinking about making my next interface something like the M-audio project mix console but wanted to get some input from others.
Would I be able to mic a whole kit and record it into Sonar or Pro Tools with this?
Would I have problems mixing more than 8 tracks with this?
Recording vocals and guitars with this?
