Here we go again!

Yes, my name has been eradicated from the mixing forum here at RO.

ProSoundWeb has asked me to moderate a forum there. Yes, they are paying me. But if you consider the amount of hours that I will be putting into it, it's hardly worth the price of admission.

I have to admit, this is the most positively interactive forum I've been on, largely thanks to Mixerman's "short courses" in mixing land. Seems to me that everything he's brought up here as an excercise has been really helpful in each of us coming to know the other better.

I just wanted to say thanks to Mixerman and the whole group for all the ideas to. I started mixing a project this evening. I kept many things that have been brought up here. Things like arrangement of the mix and the plains of mixing.

Anyways I just got an e-mail today from mixerman he is in florance Italy mixing an Italian Punk/Classical group I guess they play some of there Instruments through Marshalls and sh*t as he was explaining it. But It sounded cool. Her said that his e-mail was down and told me that he would be posting in a few days. Mark Owen

I just wanted to take a minute to thank Mixerman for the proactive way this forum is moderated.

The use of questions and hypothetical situations to challenge and stimulate this online community is unique (at least in my meager experience). These devices seem to draw out the best in all who participate and provide a maximum of benefit to all who read.

Once again, this is a re-post of a re-post of an article I wrote sometime ago. This one has never been altered, it is exactly the same as it was the day I wrote it (in less than 2 minutes), and has stood the test of time.

I have gotten good response to this, and now that I have a forum for these things, I thought I'd put it up.
