Guitar mixing
I just started mixing this guitar intro for a song I'm working on. I recorded this on my PreSonus Firepod, with a Neumann TLM 103 on the guitar itself, and a Blue Spark mic on the amp in another room. I'm pretty new to mixing and I don't really know where to go from here, I'd love to get some pointers on how to make it sound better, richer, and clearer.

Where to Start: Mixing 101's.
Hey ya'll, so i've been recording music for the last 7 years; and i'm still frustrated trying to get that mix to sound "professional"; i honestly dont know what i'm suppose to be looking for when mixing down certain pieces of a song, i just figure whatever sounds "good". :||||
so, here's the question:
how do you know what sounds good?
woah right?

Recording and Mixing Female vocals
Anyone out there advise the best way to make a hole for Female vocals in a mix with Guitars, and Piano being the other main mid range instruments that will clash. What is the best way of doing this and if cutting on the other instruments, what frequency and by how much..
Cheers

Mixing Live Recorded Drums in Adobe Audition
Hi Folks,
I know peeps here aren't HUGE into Adobe Audition, but I use CS6 and love it. Just wondering if any of you could throw some tips/tricks my way on what kind of mixing techniques or effects you use on snare/bass/overhead condenser for symbols, etc.
Thanks in advance!

tips for mixing lots of layers?
Hey everyone I'm mixing a CD for a client and in his Chorus' or "hooks" there is a lot of vocal layers going on, and i'm having a hell of a time making them sit right. Anybody have any tips or suggestions on how to handle this? There's typically 4 main parts on the hook plus 2 emphasis tracks and then 2 adlib tracks all together.
