MXL v67g or MXL 2010: which mic is better for voice ?
MXL v67g or MXL 2010: which is better for voice ?
Hi I bought a condenser mic and I am between these 2:
- MXL V67g
- MXL 2010
which one is better for recording vocals?
considering that my room is not insulated, with which I take less ambient noise?
Thank you very much for your help pls!
MXL V67g or RODE M3?
Hi. I'm looking to buy another mic to add to my collection and am trying to decide on whether to go for the new RODE M3 or MXL V67g? I will be mainly using it for vocals. I already have a RODE NT1a, Studio Projects B1 and T.Bone RM700 (ribbon) and am able to borrow Shure SM57's and 58's. Which would you recommend as a good option for another colour?
Thanks

3rd party shock mount suggestion needed for MXL V67g/i mic
Hi. I need a shock mount to fit the MXL V67g or V67i mic (and maybe others...I don't know which others share that form factor). I have read that MXL's official shock mount for these mics, the MXL 57, leaves a lot to be desired.
Marshall mics MXL2003 and V67G
Hi folks!
Have you tested these two mics? they are popping down here for very nice prices. I assume they are in the same boast of C300OB's and GT55's..
Nice friday

Marshall MXL-V67G vs. . Studio Projects C1
Bottom line; the'yre pretty damn close to each other in sound. The Studio Projects C1 is a little hotter (about 2 dB more output), and a little quieter (again, by about 2 dB). Overall, the frequency response is very similar, with maybe a -1dB shelf around 800 to 1,000 Hz on the Studio Projects C1. The Marshall MXL-V67G sounds slightly fuller, but again by a very small amount.

Under the hood - inside the Marshall V67G and the Sound
I still haven't had time to do an audio shootout between these two mics, but I thought some of you may be interested in what I found when I took both of them apart and compared them side by side.
