I've been using Ableton 8 and an Axiom 25 controller on a Mac Mini with Native Instruments Razor for a couple of weeks now. It works really well on Mac. However, it was a CPU monster so I literally bought a new PC for the express purpose of running many channels with the Razor plugin . Now I'm getting midi latency.

I get meter readings when i arm a track ( around -50dB range), even when my input gain in my soundcard driver settings is set to null.

I just bought the Alesis I02 Recording interface and Sterling Audio ST51 Microphone. I am using a Dell PC running Windows XP. I use Mixcraft 3 to record (old, I know).

I'm having a serious audio recording problem using two Sennheiser MKE 2 lavalier mics in close proximity. Here's the situation. My wife and I are recording a live video broadcast. We sit directly next to each other facing a video camera. There's only about 6 inches between our chairs. I speak very loudly. She speaks very quietly. Both mics are going into a Mackie Onyx mixer.

I had a show last night and plugged my XL1S audio inputs directly from the PA rca outputs...I recorded the lead vocals'keyboard'drums..great.But the lead guitars and bass were low..Is there anything I can do to improve this? software or is it final?
I'm still learning about this camera and it's the best live recording to date

when i import files to Audacity drum midi files then sound fast and normal

I just recently started working on this track and once I had finished the piano section, I added in some drums and a synth to beef it up a bit. It sounds fine in reaper when playing back but once I render it or bounce to disc and upload to soundcloud, the cymbals get this weird shimmering type sound happening which I don't know how to get rid of.

I am totally new to all this and not especially techie (though willing to learn...slowly) so please be gentle with me - I'd be very grateful for some help.

Hello all. I just got done recording drum parts for some friends of mine and i want to edit the drums such as quantize, flex, and replace them. For some reason only certain takes well let me quantize them and others wont. The takes with a number of a take will let me example kick#119. Then the takes that say compO will not show up in the quantize area.
