I'm recording a live venue every week using a Fostex LR16 and bring the multitrack files home to mix using Audacity. I know it's a free program, but I'm hesitant to spend money until I get past a certain learning curve. I can get a decent mix, but when I export the mix as an MP3, it sounds funny. Sounds like "waves"...
Got a bit of a problem, I'm trying to record voice coming through an ew 100 g3 and into an mbox mini to pro tools. whenever i arm the track to record the signal goes mad and all i hear is fuzz however when the track isn't armed the sound is clear and crisp. what the hecks going on? =/

For some reason track 1 is giving me allot of distortion. Has the volume pegged pretty much. I tried cleaning the tape head, but it didn't work. Also there does not need to be a tape for there to be distortion. If I just hit play without any tape I get the same thing. Any suggestion would be greatly appreciated!

This might sound a bit silly however I have a 22hour long .wmv file and someone has asked me to open it up and edit into 22x1 hour files. Pro Tools, Wave Lab, Reason 6 (thought I'd try!) and sound Forge were all unable to open it.

Hello there, I'm new to this forum so don't be harsh if I don't understand some things.
I have problem with my PreSonus FP10 and using it in Cubase/Nuendo 3...the problem is, whenever I arrange my midi drums in addictive drums, or play/record guitar through it, after about 5-15 minutes it just goes to noiseless and I can't hear anything, the signal is gone, and sound is gone!
Have you ever been so frustrated you wanted to pull your own hair out? Because that's how I feel now! :mad:
