I'm editing and mixing sound using PT LE 6.4 alongside the ye olde' DIGI 001. All is well generally but if I bounce out a mix that I'm happy with I've noticed that if I import what I've just bounced out back in the highest peaks seem lower on the bounced out mix than what I've got in the edit. The regular/mid level stuff seems exact.

So this is a whole new side of audio to me. I've been loaned a brand new Alesis pad from an endorsee who wants me to be his programmer, problem is I have never worked with midi on my own or anything like this in my life. Now I'm already failing at making this pad work with Ableton. The pad is plugged in and was installed successfully.

I have received my Master CD proof two days ago from this Mastering Studio in NJ.
I have to admit that it really IS beneficial to use “fresh pair of ears”, and if you can afford it, let somebody else do the mastering for you (if you have previously spent many hours of recording and mixing your own material).
yes i have a PreSonus Firestudio and i have a SennHeiser ew100 wireless mic...and well every time i turn the wireless mic off, and the reciever is still on. .its starts peaking like crazy and almost sounds like a gun going off..and i notice it goes off when i turn my PreSonus Firestudio off. Why is it causing interference like that? just wondering...

hey all, my band and I have been recording demos of our songs and we have had the problem of the guitars sound really digital or computerised if that makes sence.
At first we were plugging the guitars straight into my recording system which is
Tascam US-1641
Cubase SX
so someone thought it be funny to take a session i did and speed shift it to chipmunk speed and that person saved it is there anyway to get this off my session file so it goes back to normal?
it might not even be with Pro Tools and just the external HD i have. and I'm not super saavy with computers. BUT! when i try and start a new session or open up a session saved on my external HD it won't open it.
