Revox A77 MK3 Problems

Submitted by gaetan8888 on Fri, 11/16/2012 - 20:32

Hello

I have a Revox A77 MK3, sr: G170460, two tracks, with 7 1/2 and 15 ips speeds. I did not used it since some times.

I have a problem, when I turn it on, even wen I did not push any recording buttons, and without any input signal, the vu-meter are topping to the maximum and still topping to the maximum until I turn my Revox off.

Midi Cable connection problem

Hello

I am using a Emu 1616m interface and for the first time am looking to hook up a midi drum kit via it. The problem I am having is the midi port on the breakout box is not a standard midi port and it did not come with the required adapter. Where would I be able to find the right adapter which should be the serial? into the breakout box with a standard midi in and out cable?

Fostex problem

I have the Fostex Mr8 recorder and its making a weird heartbeat type sound when I turn the mic volume up. Only does this when I press record but not when I arm the track or tracks. Does this with both my SM57s and all cables. Also each time this sound is happening there is 'ACC' at the top right of display screen blinking after each sound I described. What could be the issue? Thanks.

Latency problems

Hi!

I've got some annoying latency problems with my recording system that I can't figure out how to get rid of. I've read a lot and tried different solutions but can't get rid of the problem. It's a matter of old recording stuff that I have had the money to get so I could get things up and running. Aventually things will get upgraded but money don't grow on trees :(

Bad noise problem.

I bought a brand new sE-X1 large diaphragm mic.
I'm using it with my M-Audio MobilePre to record piano.

But the piano barely makes it over the buzzing noise in the recording.
Even though I almost pushed it into the soundboard to boost the signal.
This clearly isn't amplified background noise if you ask me.

Phantom Power problem..

I own an Audiobox Studio, I mainly record vocals on it. Yesterday I was recording some vocals and everything worked great, but today when I was going to add a couple more takes, when I turned the phantom power on (48V button) it started making all types of weird noises, kind of as if wind was "hitting" the mic.

Alesis HD24 hard drive problems (and possibly more)

Ok, I've been losing sleep, hair and probably tooth enamel (from grinding them) on a similar issue. I've had an HD24 for 7 years. Power went out while I was gone for three days this summer. I had everything on an UPS. Which of course did not last that long. The HD will turn on correctly if the drive caddie is not in it.
