I’m working in my final project of my university that is about choral recording, which I divided in four parts:



1) Analysis (choir – recording location)



2) Acoustic: we measure acoustic factors that are directly related with this type of recording:

• Early Decay Time (EDT),

• Reverberation Times (T10, T20, T30)

How do you process your live drums Recording?like adding Noise Gate..



other than that,what will you apply into it for more clean sound?like will you add the Noise Reduction plugin and so on..?

I am new to making tracks ready to be mixed for post production. I am working w Nuendo 2 recording tracks on a project that will be mixed at another studio. I am supposed to make the tracks all start at the same time, obviously. I had this under control until the guitarists started doing tracks with very short leads or other BS when I was not around. Ughh!

Hey guys, I'm looking for advice on recording guitar cabs, mainly in regards to production... compression, eq, etc... I have my mic placements and things figured out and everything, but I can't seem to get a really powerful sound.. what do the pros do when they record guitars?

Hey there people. This is my first post. I'll start with a bit of information about myself and a question that's been festering away in my crazy skull for quite some time...



What's your favorite mixing/production software, and why? Which is the "most powerful"? Is there an industry "standard"?

Guys.. (I know this answer is dependant somewhat on my gear.. sound card and mic etc) but if I am using Cubase SE along with Adobe Audition, plus the Waves Platinum bundle as well as a host of other plugins, if I knew really how to use compression and could EQ properly and fully understood mixing..
