production music licensing
I've recently been hired to compose music for a cycle training video. After this project, i would like to sell these songs as a library to other, similar production companies. Does anyone have advice on do this?

Production Trucks
Does anyone here have any experience setting up a production truck?
I know Remy does - perhaps you'd be willing to share.
I'm looking at setting one up. I figure I can go one of a few different ways:
1 - a small box truck (~12-14 feet - diesel)
2 - a tow behind trailer (6*12)
3 - a full-sized van
4 - a school or similar bus

Help with a post production piece
I'm an audio production student working on a post piece that is giving me a bit of trouble. My project is to replace all of the sound (including dialog) from a Hollywood scene. The goal is to get as close to the original sound as possible. The clip is from Indiana Jones and the Crystal Skull.

Production Values Today...Compared to Yesterday
I'm sure I'm going to get flamed for this, but..
what do people like so much about the Abbey Road kick sound? or the entire recording for that matter.
Maybe it's because I'm young (19) but I just don't get it. I listen to it and to me it just sounds so. weak. It sounds distant, or something.
First real production. the question is..
Here's the scenario,
I was asked to produce a song - I didn't have anything to do with the recording of the music, but I arranged to get the artist on the song. I did no writing with the artist... but i will be the one to mix the track.
The song is to be put on the artists upcoming LP, my question is, what rights do i have and how do i get a piece of this action?

What mics to use for location video production?
I am looking at buying mics for my edirol 4 pro hard disk recorder to use on location for short films/weddings/documentary work. I'm thinking of getting either a Sennheiser me66 or 67 and a radio mic (lavier/handheld). I am open to suggestions for a omni directional mic for ambient sound recording and any other suggestions that you have.
Clocking Midi for In the Box production
My mpc1000 is getting returned or going back on ebay, a pad doesn't work and i don't want to fix it (it's a big issue with these) and i'm going software until i have enough cash for a better sampler (i've had about 10-11, and when there's a big hardware failure, or repeat problem, i dump

Audio Patch panel in video production studio
Last week I came in a studio which uses a Mackie 1604. It is hooked up to a patch panel which links it to the different recorders and computers. Everything is connected with TRS jacks. The patch panel is a stero patch panel. But i saw they only used Mono-jacks to patch the signal. A lot of equipment uses balanced signals( Mackie 1604, dvcpro recorder, edititing stations end so on)

CD production questions
Hey guys, I was hoping (after re-recording my songs) to get a CD produced this summer. I don't live off of playing music or anything, so just something to get it out there would be cool. About production though, I have 2 questions:
