Hi people, I am have problem that I really need to fix. I am using Cockos Reaper, and an Alesis i/o 26 firewire interface. Just recently, Reaper has started to completely slow down and freeze after I put in maybe 4 tracks with some heavy VST plugins. This is a big problem because I need a lot of plugins.

Reaper users, tell me have you used any of these?

I downloaded the FL Studio 8 Demo just now, I don't have much to time to check it out since I have to go to work. But would I be able to make drum beats and such, and export the files to Reaper? Also how long will this demo last?

Ok so I just decided to download the Reaper freeware, and I really like what I see and hear so far. But I have only had it for about 15 minutes now. I've recorded a few tracks or two, just messin' around already.

I am not sure understand how to set up the inputs and outputs from the E-mu 1820m in to reaper.This is the problem.I just updated to the latest version of patchmix.I do not have any sessions saved in patchmix as of yet.So I can not go back to the old session in patchmix to were my setting were working for me with Reaper great.

is this a good program?
what are the limitations on it?

Ok, well, I'm a very long time PT user(LE and HD) and the other day MattP insisted I give REAPER a shot. I definitely tortured it all day today on my Quad Opteron rig. Pretty impressive.

Just letting you guys know of some important improvements to REAPER, for anyone who's been waiting for certain features to be added before they try it.

Just added ReaInsert, a plug for sending audio/midi from any FX Chain to external hardware and back...and has auto-detect delay compensation.

I just wanted to give this new DAW program a mention, because I really think they deserve it!
