I am a newbie in this field. I am buying first gear ever for recording !

I have though of buying Scarlett 2i2 USB Recording Interface which I think fits best in my budget and goes well with WIndow .
Now I am looking for best mic within 100$ to go with my interface. My purpose to record voice-overs (not singing) for Indian langauges.

Should I use my new RME over my ASUS onboard sound card for everyday windows usage? (Music, Games, Movies). I know it's better recording quality, but is it better audio quality than my 5.1 onboard sound?

I'm new to all of this.

I'm looking to record some classical concerts in high quality.

I'm about to buy a Sony PCM-D50 as this seems to be about the best quality-wise in my current price range, and I'll be recording at 24 bit 96kHz (and playing them back on my high-endaudiophile hifi).

Our school has a vocally talented group of 8th graders. Their choir director would like to do a recording of the group before the school year ends that could be distributed to the families of the kids...not for sale, but for keepsake...although we'd still like to capture the best recording we can...Both the choir director and I are amateur at best, but we're both fairly technical people...

Hi, I am looking to start up my home studio. The current links that I am looking for are the interface and keyboard.

My overall goal is to eventually have a high quality setup for mostly digital recording (Axe FX II as an endgame).

Hey all, looking for a decent, light-weight single bass cab to compliment the svt-3 pro head i'm making payments on. I gig tested the head, it's nothing more, or less, than i need. It will be used on gigs (usually 100 person capacity), and in the studio i work at. Even though i will go D.I in both cases, i will mic the cab in the studio for some of that sound if needed.

I'm looking for a wireless lavalier mic for documentary recording (and an additional wired lav mic too). I'm on a very tight budget, yet I'm still after the best quality.

Any recommendations?

Or am I looking for unobtainium?
