recording issue

Recording issues, Win 7, Alto 1604

Hey guys, need help with set up, mainly why everything that comes through the pc is recorded. Should be simple but not getting something right.

Alto 1604 》 Usb Audio In/Out (digital cable?) 》Desktop 》 Cubase 5 (Temporary Daw atm aha) and Asio4All atm as well.

Erm yhh you can probably already tell the problem but I'm stumped, metronome plays on any Recording, and anything else playing through desktop, haven't figured out how to stop it unless metronome through headphones. I'm assuming it's the Daw vst connection setting's... any help here appreciated.

Low volume mic recording issue

Good evening all!

I am very new at sound recording, had my first recording session just today. I have some experience with music mixing and stuff, but from electronic music. Midis, vst, etc. Not live instruments, mics, .. But it is something what attracts me for a long time, not just to record my drums, but make beautiful recording of piano (girlfriend is classical pianist, so for demos, own recordings, CDs, etc.). Yep, that was my aim for very first day of my recording "career", to make a beautiful piano record.

Recording Issue

Hi,
I have a problem recording audio from our church sermons using Adobe Audtion, @ 48 kHz using my Scarlett 2i2. Occasionaly, the recording drops/jumps a split-second of audio every few minutes. And so, I mix the audio together with video to prepare for DVD, but the audio is just about a second short (and obviously the lips are out of sync) by the end of a 50 min recording.

Any ideas about what I could be doing wrong?
thanks

Poor Recording Issue? Please Help!

Hey!

I do a little bit of recording using a condenser mic, mixer and my laptop. I use a cable that connects the 2 RCA ports of the mixer to the 3.5mm mic jack in my laptop, which worked fine. When I tried this with my new laptop (which has a combined mic/speaker jack), the audio I recorded had a lot of crackling/white noise.

What can I do to fix this?
Could I use a RCA to USB cable to record instead?

Thanks in advance!

Recording Issues (broad post)

I have had a lot of problems with my stuff, and I really want to get more gear soon, but I don't want to commit if I can't even use it properly, so here it goes.

First, here are my specs, from my profile.

Ok, so my PC is a simple HP desktop I bought and have since added a Firewire card, larger capacity power supply, and video card. The system is actually a p6703w.
