And I need active studio Monitors, now for the dilemma

Okay, so a while ago I was laying a track down on my guitar and then left it alone for a couple of months. I went to do some work on the track (after not even using my recording equipment for a month or so) and when I tried recording I realized EVERYTHING sounds like crap.

I have a dell comp with window's xp i am runnin Magix music maker delux 11
my soundcard is a soundmax digital audio
I have a samson co1u microphone
Audio-Technica headphones. ATH/T44
how do i get it so i can hear my voice out of the headphones while I'm recording on the microphone?

Hi,
I want to record Yamaha P-80 through Lexicon Lambda connected to a laptop with Cubase LE.
1. I take stereo output from P-80 and connect to Line 1 and Line 2 of Lambda. Even on a low gain it gives terrible noise. Even when Volume level is turned off on P-80.

2. When I connect the same cable to the amp Microphone INs there is no
noise. ?

I'll tell you my issue, when I record, I'm trying to get the vocal track as well as the instrumental in my headphones, the instrumental isn't a problem but the vocal track (So I can hear it as I record live) is what I am having problems with.

I just set up my PC for recording, however when I try to record a track in Pro Tracks Plus, the riffs sound great through the monitors during recording, but during playback the recorded audio snaps, and skips horribly. The recording levels are in the green with no red, and the drivers are set up correctly. This is my first attempt at this so I'm assuming I'm doing something wrong.

I am currently digitizing my vinyl collection, and am running into a problem. After the record is done recording (skip free) I play back the file and there are "skips" in the track.

I have tried adjusting latency, unhooking from the web, and just about every other tip, all to no avail.
