So, I've been using ITB verbs for a while now and haven't been unhappy, but I decided to hook up my old LXP-1 for grins and giggles the other day and thought the difference was pretty drastic. Naturally, it got me thinking about purchasing a good 'all around' reverb unit so I thought I would come and ask you guys for some advice and/or direction.

Hi, I'd like to ask your opinion about reverb fx. When do I have to use plate, when hall and when room?
Is it right to use different algorithms in a song, (for example rooms for guitar, hall for vocals?)
If you use different reverbs, your mix will sound right?

I am new here, and need some advise on reverbs that can reproduce large hall effects with very natural sound. What 2 channel reverb or sterio reverb on the market is best suited for this? I am still using the Yamaha REV 7, and just purchased two TC M350's which I don't care for, I still find the Rev 7 better and more natural.

Has anyone heard any TC Electronic Reverbs, in particular the 4000? I'm also wondering how it compares to the Bricasti?

I know we've talked about reverb units before, but I don't think these were mentioned. Seem that Boss just came out with an [="http://guitars.musiciansfriend.com/product?sku=502871"]emulation[/]="http://guitars.musi…"]emulation[/] of a Fender 63 reverb tank.

Without price being a factor what would you say is the best reverb vsti out there at the moment, is there any leading vst?

Hey guys, what's up. Just found out about this forum, and I think it's a great idea :). I'm an amateur audio engineer, and pro musician, and I am facing a little trouble with my vocals mix.
The problem is that after I apply reverb, the vocal lines are hard to understand (unless you read the lyrics that is :) ).

What do you guys add or cut to the reverb bus regarding eq?
