sampling rates and buffer
just a quick question:
sampling rates - will a higher rate give you higher quality? Or is this just a measurement of how fast the interface syncs with the clock? I am a little confused about this.

Unsampling?
Hello,
I recently started recording in 48k/24b for higher resolution. I am pleased with the sound, it's slightly clearer than 44.1k/16b.
Now I have come to try and put some 48k 24b PCM wav files onto an audio CD.
I use Audition and Sonar LE. And when I export a 44.1k 16b wav it sounds horrible, worse than when I recorded at those settings.

Room Sampling For Convolution Reverb
can someone please go over the process of sampling a room to use in a reverb program like WavesIR-1? Step by step, maybe?

For 24 Track Projects what Sampling Rate do you Prefer?
I typically use 48kHz for larger track count projects, and 96kHz for smaller track count projects. Just curious what rates most people are using.

Will upsampling make any real sense?
Hey ppl,
I have received an album pre mastered at Audio CD resolution.. Now the Producer has no open sessions of the tracks & wishes to add some more instruments to the material.. (Using Pro Tools LE 7 in a PC with Digi 002 rack)

sampling software?
any good sampling software to remove parts of songs like synth or vocals. I would like to start producing some remixes. So how would I go by doing this the cheapest way with software? BTW what is the legal part to this if I want to remix his/her song and send it as demo to companies, radio stations etc.? Do I have to contact the artist personally? How would I go about doing this?

Sampling Rates
I work at Guitar Center in Harrisburg as the Pro Audio Dept Manager. I'm running a pair of MOTU Travellers and I really like them a lot. My boss, my friends and I are having an ongoing debate about sampling rates.

16 or 24bit sampling: real benefit?
hi all :)
all stuff producers will tell you that recording at 4872394879bit sampling rate is what you truly need to sleep well and have great success with girls...but...who really need high bitrate sampling?
Which is the REAL difference between recording at 16 or 24?
