Recording a small choir in a big hall
Forums
I have a gig (almost) booked to record a good, but smallish choir in a large concert hall. It will be 25-30 adult voices - SABT. This will be my first recording in a "big-boy" venue. It is a closed session, so the hall will be essentially empty.

VERY small onsite monitors?
Forums
Folks-
Do any of you have speakers that you use on very small setups? Clearly, My phones will provide a very detailed sound, but it is good to have speakers as well...

Looking for high quality mixer for small studio

Hello,
Monitors for small room
Forums
Hi, I've been to guitar center recently and had a chance to listen to krk rp8 and Yamaha NS80m I liked Yamahas more, but I think both of them are so LOUD for my small room (9x9x8), so I was thinking may be it will be better just to get something like ns50m, or krk rp5, and than add sub to them if I move to another room.

recording a small choir
Forums
i'm recording a makeshift small choir for my band & i'm faced with the current situation:
we tried recording simply our singer doing each note of the necessary chords in the vocal booth & layering them all together with some reverb [with pretty good results i must say]

Beginning a small home studio. Need help!
Forums
Hey guys how's it going? I play the guitar, some madoline, some bass, some drums and I'm purchasing a Roland SH-201 synthesizer for Christmas. My recording background dates back a few years ago. I had an older version of Cakewalk and recorded through a regular mic. To be honest, it didn't sound that bad!

Looking for small stereo mics for MD recording.
Forums
Hey guys!
Just got myself a new portable MD recorder. One of the reasons was also to do some basic field recording. What I would like is a fairly decent microphone, to do some quality recordings. Looking at a budget of $100. (but if it's REALLY good, I might stretch it)
After some research I found the following main options:
