I have a load of old (useable) tunes in Logic (PC), mostly midi sequences but a few with audio, and I was wondering if they could easily be imported into Pro Tools LE?

I just finished this song and I'm relatively pleased with the sound, but am wondering how I get that bright and crystal clear sound that is found on most professional records. I'm using at home studio, but I'm thinking that I should be able to milk clearer audio even from what I have.

Well here we go. I recorded these songs a year ago in my basement. I had a very very low quality drum mic kick to use on the drums and two microphones to record everything else with. This is done through a 20-30 year old 12 channel mixer (a BEAST) to my pc onto Cakewalk Guitar Track Pro.

How do I eliminate certain parts of songs to just get the vocals or just get the instruments etc. Is there a program I can buy to do this as I am remixing a song and would like to eliminate the instruments to have just the vocals. Thank you in advance. x

As the title says, I'm in the process of doing a demo CD, and was just wondering how long can songs go for? I heard that they should go for more than 3.5 minutes, but is it ok to have songs going for abt 2 minutes?

if you have to sing accapella (without music), what type of song should you choose? slow, fast. etc?

one more question, why do the musicians want new singers to perform accapella? to listen to the singers' voice quality and vocal techniques?

if so, should i choose a song that is slow with great vocal preformance?

So I'm finally moving in to a place where I will be able to setup my gear and record on a regular basis. I'm planning to start taking clients once I get used to my new surroundings. Here is the dillema I have a "real job" and I'll prob try and schedule tracking on my days off and I can mix in the evening on top of this I'm a single dad with a toddler so I could be interupted at any time.

Since I've just finished this new song for this band I'm trying to put together I got curious and decided to throw it up here and see what you guys think. :) Now, bear in mind I'm using hi-fi speakers to monitor and mix on (Sony home theater 1600w "near-fields" :lol:).

I have been writing songs for awhile. All I need now is a pro audio music program that is compatible with rock/electro songs. Any suggestions?
