This is my first post on this forum as I was introduced to it by a member over at the DUC.

I am a songwriter that wants to lay down fairly competent tracks, but nothing elaborate. I'll leave it to the studios and professional musicians to make the song play great.

Just finished mixing a song, hard rock/metal. The band might get intreasted in getting it pro mastered (I'm coaxing them into it) . But before we decide, ill post a link to the song and let you ppl. decide whether it's worth it or not.

Hey i was reading John's (Massive Mastering) process of mastering the song and i realized that i was rushing the song because i was done in approx 25 min.

Someone told me that if you re-record a song that is over 30 years old you don"t have to have written permission to release it. Is that true? Is there a time line on recording someones else song without getting permission? Thanks for everyones input.

Hey! Not to long ago i purchased a MOTU 896hd. I made my own little studio in my house and these are the first real songs that I have mixed down for my brothers band. There is more but I picked these 2 to upload onto the internet. I am still learning so much more every day, I would like some of your guys feedback on my songs. How could I improve them in any way?

I'm using PT le with the digi 002r and i need to import a whole song track from a CD into my pro tools so my vocalist can sing with the song while i record her.



Now can someone please tell me if this is possible and if so how? Will i need to convert the file? If so how?



please help a man in need.
