Hi, I am a beginner guiter player wanting to begin recording on the home computer.

I have an acoustic and an electirc guitar to record simultaneously, along with a mic and something else. SO thats a minimum of 4 inputs a soundcard needsm .

What I am thinking of buying is a

new soundcard problem

i just got a new soundcard with a line in. i fixed my previous problem with volumes, but now there is a constant hum with static clicks and pops continuously coming out the speakers. the onboard original soundcard is disabled but still in the computer. the buzzing is for sure coming from interference from inside the machine. any idea on how i can fix this?

guitar into soundcard?

Hi all. Trying to record guitar on PC. I have a SoundBlaster Audigy 2 ZS. I am going direct from the guitar into the soundcards 1/4" Line 2/Mic 2 input. The sound is incredibly distorted and blown out, as if the signal is too strong, no matter how far down I turn the volume on the guitar, the level on the input, etc. I went to guitar center and the guy told me I needed a Direct Box.

soundcard budget

I'm thinking about geting a professional soundcard for recording and producing. I orginaly wanted one that had a midi interface but having trouble finding one with a budget of 250nz which is appox 100us it looks like i will hav to use a usb converter for midi but i herd they are a bit delayed. Could anyone help me out with the right card for me ?

M-Audio Fast Track as primary soundcard

Hello. I've been using the SB Audigy External soundcard, and I wanted to just use my m-audio fast track as my primary soundcard. I plugged the RCA outs directly into my speaker setup and all the output sounds overdriven and fuzzy. I used to put my fast track into the Line In on my audigy and it was crystal clear.
