I've got our song up, and the mp3 file on my computer sounds fine. But the streaming on Myspace gives it a real 'swish-y' type quality, especially on the cymbals.

Any tips on mixing/mastering for specifically for streaming audio?

At this time I have mp3 files on my website and people download the music in order to listen to it.

How can I change this, so that people can listen to the music via streaming, but never get hold of the actual mp3 files. In other words; can listen, cannot save.

I'm running Pro Tools and a 002r with a Octo Pre and at current my 1.8gHz Celeron Laptop just does the job but it hiccups now and again.
I am using an external HD through firewire 400.

I've just become involved in a project that will involve audio for a showreel to be posted on a website. This is the first time I have come across this audio for internet and suddenly realise how little I know of it. I would prefer to stream CD quality audio but the webspace doesn't have the space for the raw audio, ie SDII, AIFF or WAV.

Im trying to get a website together. On the home pae, I'm using a flash plugin that permits streaming of a loaded Mp3 file.

I loaded one at 96khz. It plays streams ok. A few buffer breaks. But i was wondering whats the best way to do so ? A quality vs size ratio.
