Couple of questions
First an apology, I've been busy this week and almost away from the computer a lot (plus I was on holiday/vacation a few weeks back...). Been feeling really apart from the forums. But I'm back, with additional features now.

Looking for a pair of monitors for around $2-300 American. All I've been using is this and my mixes don't come out that great.
I am not new to recording, but I am just getting around to setting up my first semi-pro home studio. A few pieces of equipment that I have had for a while (compressor, interface, mixer) -- as well as a new headphone amp and effects box -- use balanced cables for some aux patches.
I've had a home recording studio for the last three years. I'm using a fast/powerful computer built by ADK Pro Audio. I use a Blue - Blueberry microphone, usually for vocals and acoustic guitar. I have two PreSonus FirePod interfaces and a PreSonus Eureka preamp. I use Cubase 4. I have a tri-screen monitor setup. I use two Mackie HR624's as my reference monitors.
Hi All,
I finally have my HD8CD but need a little help on setting it up.
Here is my equipment:
Keyboard, Sound Module, Active Monitor Speakers, HD8CD.
Sometimes, I am going to want to practice the piano, without having it hooked into the HD8CD... how can I go about this?
Hey all, just got my project studio up and running but am having minor grounding issues. I have everything run into a power conditioner then that to the wall. I am getting a small 60 cycle hum through my monitors. its not loud but audiblle when the room is silent. Also my guitar is getting a buzz only when i fret notes, this is a new phenomina since assembling this new space.
I am looking to just start recording some audio with a microphone and i want to get a great sound but i have no idea what i need. Okay i dont want to do it with MIDI like a direct input from a guitar to my soundcard. I need to record acoustic drums which obviously dont have an input so thats why i need a mic.
Ive got a preamplifier witha kind off mono mic input. I intend to use it with my mic which uses XLR out connectors. There are 3 output wires on my mic and 2 input wires on the preamp. How can i go about it and creat a balanced signal.
hello, fairly new to this.
i have a BOSS BR-864 digital recorder, and a RODE NT-3 mic. i was considering purchasing a larger diapraghm RODE mic as well.. but how would i go about recording the same thing with 2 different mics when there is only the one mic jack in the back of my recorder?
I would like to get a patchbay to make patch changes easier in my rack.
Im looking at the Beringher px2000 or px1000. What is the difference between Balanced and Unbalanced? (the PX2000 is unbalanced.)
All my cables are 1/4" mono plugs for routing around the various boxes. Some times I do voice through the same rack.
