So I have a Yamaha EMX5014C mixer. I have it plugged into my computer to record into MixCraft6. I can record, but when all my levels are up, (the recording level on MixCraft is up, the volume is up on MixCraft, the volume is up on my computer speakers, the gain and compression are both all the way up on the mixer), I still have a very low and distorted recording.

About to hook up my friend's recently purchased equipment and went to Guitar Center this morning to get the interconnect cables.

I am hooking up starting from top to bottom:

Numark Mixer into

Peavey EQ into

Rane AC22 Xover into

Crown MT1200 for bass and MT600 for mids and highs

Could someone verify my power amp connection

Im unsure of these cables i made for connecting balanced outputs of my mixer(TRS) to my crown power amp in(XLR).

I wired them this way:

pin1=TRS ground

pin2=TRS tip

pin3=TRS sleeve

It works but i know from experience that just because something works doesn't always mean it's correct or not risky.

How should I record with the gear that I have.

For years i've been ghetto rigging ways to record. I want to know what the proper way to record is. Here is how I plan on setting up my gear once i have drum mics.

I have a Behringer PMP 3000 Europower mixer, A mobilePre-USB interface. And a crap ton of Audix om2 mics and a Shure SM58.

Hi! Okay I have a Firepod and a TC M300 that I want to use as External FX in Cubase! I hooked up the M300 Via SPDIF to my Firepod. I've tried the set the External FX Send and Return track in Cubase but I don't think I did it fine.

When I Insert the M300, there's no more audio playing on the track or it plays but completely DRY.

Need a Good Cheap Monitor Amp with EQ!

I rock a PV14 mixer (among other junk) with both stereo and/or mono outs. I currently monitor either through headphones, or occasionally through a pair of 2 little Kustom (i know, go f- yourself) passive monitors powered by a Crate power block amp (hell of deal)...this rig works, but is obviously not giving me a great sound.
