my question is about file transfer, especially from clients to me.
how do most of you guys accept large audio files?
is ftp the best option?

Looking for a studio with 1" recording gear so I can transfer my tracks on 1" tapes to digital tracks. I want to remix and just have them more accessible, etc...
I went to the studios I recorded them at and they all went digital and the reel to reels are broken or sold.
I'm located in Central NJ, and would prefer something in the tri-state area.
I have some older 16-bit DAT tracks that I will have to transfer to DAW so I can deliver them to mastering studio...they do not have DAT anymore :(
I have Tascam DA-20 mk2 DAT.
I can connect it to RME multiface S/PDIF input digitaly and record to Cubase SX.

figured it out, there was a ticker that allowed it to resample to cubase. you can delete this thread

I have a few tapes that were recorded on DA-38 machines, i want to transfer this audio information to wav or aif files.
Does anyone know of anyone in the NYC area who does work like this, or even a place that I can ship them too?
