Sorry to bother you again with my in depth thoughts and questions about transferring methods to the CD Plant.

But let's get it exposed! What is the best method(s) for the most accurate transport to the CD Plant.

I am trying to collaborate on a song with someone without meeting this person. I record via a Roland digital 8 track which has an internal zip drive.

What is your prefered media to recieve data/music on? and sent it to duplication on?

Right now it looks like a HD is the best choice.
Burning CD's give small dynamic differences and sometimes resonances, but i don't know about DAT.

My problem is this. I'm trying to transfer audio via SPDIF coax. The signal flow is coming from my Layla24 sound card going directly to my Sony CDR-W33. I've tried making changes within WinXP Pro & Cubase SX. All I get is, "DIN UNLOCKED". I see a signal being transmitted during this process but can't hear anything. Is there some sort of "copy prohibit" option that I'm overlooking in XP?

Anyone know someone in Chicago who can do a digital transfer for me? I've got drum tracks on 1/2" 8 track analog that I would like sampled as .wav's at 88.2 / 24. It's not too easy to find a studio with a 1/2" 8track machine. Thanks

What's the best way to transfer a file from my Mac to a normal PC.

Is it ok when I burn the stuff on CD? Does the file loose quality?

I've read all I can at the Fairlight site about AV Transfer. It mentions Fairlight ML3 and ML4 format. Is it compatible with MFX3 plus?

I just reinstated 6 song files that dated back as far as 3 years ago on Mezzo 3.6 - 4.03 spread across 3-9 gig removable drives to 1-18 gig removable and 1-80 gig firewire drive, for a Pop record to be recorded on Pro-Tools 5.1.1 with Mezzo 4.1. with a Sony DDS 4 as the tape drive.

Can someone give me an idea what the best way to transfer tracks from Ptools to a RADAR Rig? Can this be done with some kind of file conversion? thanks.Craig
