Voice AC30's
How do the two reissues sound different from one another(the TBX and Custom Classic)? The TBX is closer to the older AC30's, and the CC ones have added features I think. Are the valve configurations the same? I know the TBX's are about $400 more and the CC's are made in China.

I'm wanting to add to my pallete the Vintech X81 and either the TUBE TECH compressor or the Distressor. I also am locked on the Blues Kiwi and the AD card for the ISA.

Reccomended Plugins for Voice and acoustic guitar
My next stage in upgrading my DAW system is to purchase some plugins. I plan mainly to record vocals and acoustic guitar. I'm not lookin' for anything fancy - a nice natural reverb / delay, a compressor and EQ.
I've thought about TC Powercore, UAD1 and a Wavesbundle.
Can anyone give me their opinion?
Cheers!
Micing old-time acoustic guitar & vox
Working a client that does "old time" acoustic/vocals (with bass and drums but I'm mainly concerned about the acoustic/vox). Any ideas on Micing to capture that ballsy Martin sound?

close up voice guitar
hi all i,m recording close up vocals and acoustic guitar together and was thinking of hiring a u47 for this .It,s a sweet sounding mail voice that is so much part of the guitar that any separation spoils it .i,m getting a nice feel with an oktava mkl2500 but i thought maybe a good u47 would be the business cheers for any inspiration julian

removing 'distant sound' from voice recording
I am currently mixing a number of tracks for an amateur production. One of these tracks involves a vox recording through a stereo mic. Because there are about 6 people singing, but not simultaneously, and there was not much studio time, the recording engineer (not me) decided to choose this option.
