Im suprised :( ------no one has any thoughts on the Behringer V Amp Pro Modeler.
I took upon myself to buy one and give it a test drive :lol:
I must say,Im impressed with the tones from the unit,Ive found that it delivers the vintage amp sounds quite well.
Ive found that if you run the outputs from the V Amp Pro,into a tube pre,it really does great.
Ive been able to fool (seasoned)fellow musicians into thinking there hearing a Marshall Plexi with a 4 speaker cab,using the x-y method for micing the cab.
I know its cheating,but if the technology is out there----Im gonna use it.
The V-Amp Pro (in my opinion) has better tones and patching abilities than the Line 6.

I know a guy that has used it with some great tones, very impressive. I dont know how it compares with the POD XT

It makes it alot easier to get **almost** any tone you want,without having a wall of cabs and amp heads.
I recorded a super clean solo from the V-Pro,with slight compression from my VLA directly into my recorder,I had fellow musicians and recording buds asking me if I was using a fender twin?.....ha!
But on the other hand-----theres nothing like the real tone,of a good tube amp.

Well i just one for my self , i just finosh reading the manual , and so far its great , im also using it for the guitar and so far i could pull out some reall nice distortions and sounds i wanted for the guitar , still for the bass it do not have the sound im looking for or i just havent found it yet , i want to create the sound that the ZOOM 607 , kinda reminds me of the sound that the guy from chevelle had on their last record . anyways if you someone knows how to get that sound would be great , im not asking for that fieldy-korn sound , just kind of crunchi.

I use one for bass. It is pretty nice but I just use it for clean tube tones and it does the job. There is a lot of other stuff it can do that I haven't messed with. I give it a 7.

Do you use the V-Amp modeler Pro for guitar--or do you have the V-Amp for Modeler for bass?

Effects are pretty solid and the cab-sim's are o.k.

All in all - i'd say it was money well spent. It stands up on-par to the POD 2.0 (which i had before the V-AMP Pro). I still mic up a cab for all my rhythm tones but it's nice to have the option of tossing some more exotic flavors on a song if they're needed w/o having to rent/buy the amp itself. Lead & Clean tones from the unit are "album-worthy" IMO. Like most Behringer gear, you get more than what you pay for... but you don't pay much.

agreed with all the above-----I have taken note to try and use a good pair of nice and clean tube amps,makes it more realistic.
Be as it may----------you can never replace the real thing-----but it sure makes it easier. :lol:
