The first lines of your post were needlessly offensive. I could not rightly be called a prude, but this is a very public, world-wide forum.
I have the right to ask you to quit swearing on the forum, as well as the right to expect that if you have a simple equipment "specs" question that you first look at the manual - even a brochure or a magazine ad or catalog page would give you the answer to this question. Other than that - People that steal things often have no manual - That's the way it is. If you did lose the manual(Shame on you), or if you bought it used and it came with no manual(Shame on the previous owner), many companies have on-line manuals for at least current equipment. After doing your homework - which must include at least a simple web search and a look at the makers web site(I know you can do it, you found this forum!) - then ask your questions here.
I realize you are a newbie - you are ecstatic about your new piece of gear, you want to know NOW! Thus, my - offensive and pointed as possible - "answer". There are ways to do things, ways to find answers quicker, better, more reliably, for at least the simple questions... Now you know several. Once you do your homework and can't find what you need, come to the forum and ask - but watch your language - whatever one you're using.

the only thing i can see is wrong from my side is the bad word i used which is not inteended
but the otherway you are all wrong
first you have to understand that not all people live in good countries and have honest shops that sells full parts (even if you dont want to belive that )
and it is really silly from you to say i stole a 3000 $ worth gear
or just thinking about it.
and regarding doing my homework, will i do what i can do if i can find info bymyself and make sure of it i wont ask, i came to ask here cuz this is pro forum wiht pro people where i get defenitve answer and that is not wrong at all even if my question is so basic
and to give you a better picture i got this forum address not by searching it was given to me by a friend and i am so novice in web.
i dont know about your experities or job but for me as a someone who wants to learn you gave very bad attitude towards me whether you agree on that or not .

Well, there you go.
1. You started out "bad". The single word you used, alone, did it. After that..?
Next time, you'll be more careful(We all must learn these things.).
2. I have now given you, the novice, several of your best options for finding the answers to your questions.
3. Whether you're a "nice person" or not, I will likely never know.
4. Whether I am a "nice person" or not, you will likely never know. Only thing I can say is that I did give ways to find the answers you were looking for, to the best of my ability, plus "bonus" suggestions that will help you better deal with others throughout the rest of your life(No extra charge.).
Other than that, I do admire your ability to converse(At all) in any language foreign to you. I can't - and I am the worse for it. I am glad you like your new keyboard and I hope you find your answers,

I find TeddyG's racist-sounding mockery of recman's English, slanderous criminal accusations, and elitism quite offensive.
This is, afterall, a very public, world-wide forum.
TeddyG, to your credit, you've somewhat backtracked on your first post here; however, despite your many other excellent posts on this website, that one was a real turd, regardless of what recman may have written. It should be edited or moderated.
No insult is intended to TeddyG, especially considering his otherwise excellent contributions, but inappropriate is inappropriate, regardless of the author.
Ill-advised adjectives and somewhat inappropriate questions don't deserve that kind of abuse.

Andrew

and good to see someone post boldly with their first or second post.
I think it is probably the reference to comment about the manual and stealing that you have referred to..
yeah ,
could have been an attempt at humour that missed it's target.
Slanderous and elitist perhaps but I didn't see the racism until you pointed me in that direction.
Not easy to see to see how people may take some things.
As a old Mod of an old forum here I tried my best to not just chop a post and have only ever edited a post to protect either the poster or RO.
The Mod here chose to leave it and I feel that was and still is correct. Teddy G's first post doesn't break any forum rules directly BUT recman's original post did. That is now edited by recman.
Perhaps the Mod did a subtle PM or email to recman.
Sometimes these things can be dammed if you do and dammed if you don't.

my post secondly no one private mailed me :) i edited my post by myself cuz i
had said bad word even though i was trying to express how much i love something
but maybe it was vulgar way and i am sorry for that.
for those of you who asks me to go to shops and try will
we dont have shope here that let U set and try the keyboard for 15 minutes
(that is if they have it in store ). what we have here is yamaha and tritone
and not all models and most of time you have to order them on catalog and wait
dont you think if there was a shop that has what i am asking for that i wouldn't
try it by myself and be 100 % sure that this is what i want ?
but that is the case and i called m-audio re seller here and he didn't know that there is a product by
m-audio called keystation ??? all what they have is some usb sound cards and monitors
believe it guys you dont know how much some of you are lucky to live in some places specially if you are musician :(
shops here brings only what people like, like in guitars there is only fender
in drums only Tama and the list goes on with other instruments :(
who read my post carefully will find out that i was not only asking for
tritone replacement i was also asking about M-audio products if it is good or not
for someone who tries them.
this place is great really with some great experts people that gives invaluable advices
but this guy really shocked me!
thx again for all of you and sorry for long talk and any bad thing came from my side :)

yep ! very cool
As far as the simple Midi controller is concerned ... this is your first controller so my advice is to keep it simple and cheap. Once you have owned one for a while you will be in a better position to understand some of the features of the expensive ones.
Some things that might be handy in the future are the units that might have :
USB and Midi connections
Different velocity curve pre-sets
Patch Changing that is easy to understand and program
Battery Powered as well as plug pack (for being mobile with a laptop)
Perhaps some continuous controller Knobs (these need to be easily assignable and programmable)
Multiple octave positions so you can catch every note even if you choose a short keyboard.
there is a lot you can know about these things and YET much of it you may never need or use.
Here in my country we do get a good selection of products but sometimes we do miss out so I know what it can feel like to see these things on the net or a magazine and not be able to get near one.

Hey Kev,
I'm sure you understand I was just stepping up for a fellow human being, not assigning blame.
Moderating/Censorship is a nasty can of worms, no matter how you look at it.
I would suggest, however, the phrase "unless of course you stole that, too?", joke or not, would seem to be heading towards legal liability for RO and TeddyG.
Mod's tend to have thankless jobs, and be assured I (and most of the other members hopefully) are appreciative of their work in making this site the excellent resource it is.
Cheers,
Andrew
P.S. Unfortunately, I have nothing intelligent to say about the keyboards!

yep kev, i agree.
that's what we are on the forum for, to help and to receive help from others!
kev is right keep it simple if you want a midi controller, less is more,
m/audio and roland do some nice good priced stuff with midi and USB! dual connex, which i like, i prefer the roland but only because i like the feel of the keys more, it's merely a matter of taste, though.
'till the next f*(&*king session.

hey, just kidding!

sorry
only you can decide this bit
a cheap and cheerful unit to get you started and then start searching for the keyboard with feel that suites you.
It may be a controller or it may be a keyboard with sound.
My best friend still uses his DX7S as his main controller ... yes there is some technical issues with the DX7 BUT he loves the feel and then uses the editor to make some velocity changes later.

Some of your English is too good. Clean yourself - certain of your language skills are unappreciated.
As far as the Korg, open the $%^#ing manual - unless of course you stole that, too? Otherwise, you'll have to download the manual from the Korg website, like so many before you...
